Description

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide Primary and Urgent Care services to the above patient population. Expectation is to work one day in clinic 14 hours per week.  On-call is required for emergencies & to prescribe for new arrivals 24/7. Key Responsibilities

The duties of this role include, but are not limited to:

 
  • Managing participant’s overall care
  • Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, HIV, Seizures, infections, and injuries
  • Prescribing medications and other treatments such as wound care or ectoparasite treatment
  • Educating participants on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices
  • Review of all Health Assessments and determination of further treatment needed if applicable
  • To the extent the County requests, the Advanced Level Practitioner can order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Oregon Nurse Practitioner unrestricted license
  • Two years of current experience in a primary care, ER or Urgent care setting
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
