Position Overview
Under the guidance of the Senior Program Manager, Democracy, Governance, and Human Rights, the Program Coordinator will be required to perform a range of tasks and assignments, including administration, technical insight and revision, communication and outreach with local partners, donor reporting and engagement, proposal development, and other assigned tasks. The focus of this position will be on assisting regional human rights and anti-corruption programming spanning 17 countries in Latin America. The portfolio for this role includes projects working on freedom of expression, freedom of press, anti-corruption, and human rights protection mechanisms. Strong preference will be given to applicants who possess direct experience in human rights and/or anti-corruption initiatives and familiarity with international law and/or U.S.-Latin American foreign relations.
Essential duties and responsibilities
The Program Coordinator’s responsibilities include:
- Support general program management efforts, including report writing, donor engagement, and monitoring and evaluation tracking.
- Review and provide feedback and detailed edits on technical documents and other reports provided by partners.
- Manage internal PADF program administrative procedures, including updating and maintaining project budgets.
- Maintain program tracking documentation and databases.
- Ensure compliance with PADF policies and procedures.
- Assist in ensuring that all program documentation is current and complete.
- Liaise with other program, finance and administrative teams within the organization and contribute to the organization’s overall interdepartmental effectiveness.
- Support proposal development processes as needed.
- Travel to projects in Latin America and the Caribbean as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
