About the Role
In this supporting Client Finance position at Monks, you are a trusted finance expert supporting a Client Finance Lead. You will develop an understanding of the client team’s business priorities, drive continuous financial improvements and maintain billing & reporting accuracy for the business. This is a role where you’ll partner across the global finance and operations teams as an advocate for process and an integrator of teams. You will be a key resource supporting the North America Media business. Our ideal candidate is a fast and flexible go-getter who jumps on new opportunities, with a natural aptitude for collaboration and a strong grounding in finance.
Responsibilities:
- Support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and close to guide strategic and tactical decision making
- Specific activities will span everything from: MSA/SOW contract reviewing, client invoicing & 3P media billing, project financial tracking, employee utilization tracking, vendor management and reconciliation, variance commentary writing, margin analysis, completing client/internal reporting templates
- Analyze information and deliver insights to make initiatives more efficient and effective
- Support key account leaders through analytics, reporting, and regular meetings
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
- Accurately track actual versus forecasted media spend
- Be a finance and operations system expert
About You
The essentials:
- 2-6 years of experience in Client Finance, FP&A or similar Finance/Accounting position
- Accounting/Finance degree with knowledge of accounting principles and applications; CPA equivalent or audit experience a plus
- Finance experience with the Professional services industry a plus (Agency, Consulting etc). Ideal candidate will have Media agency experience and familiarity with Mediaocean or other similar media tools
- Advanced knowledge of Excel/Google spreadsheets
- Self-driven and able to complete month end tasks with minimal oversight
- Problem solver who can consistently think outside of the box to develop solutions to accounting/reporting challenges
- Familiar with accounting software (Netsuite is our ERP)
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
