Northern Trust – Digital Platform Services teams are part of Platform Engineering in Enterprise Architecture and provide diverse set of capabilities to enable Northern Trust Application teams and Business Partners in the areas of Application Architecture, Development Accelerators, iPaaS(Integration Platform as a Service), Shared Services API for common digital functions and Collaboration capabilities. 

WHO YOU ARE 

Very hands on Architect experienced in architecture and design and development of modern cloud applications. You are a thought leader, who is well versed with current technology trends.  You are a team player with can do attitude and open for new ideas and collaboration. 

You have:  

• A College or University degree in Computer Science and/or relevant proven work experience  

• Hands-on software development experience using development languages and open source frameworks like Java, .Net, Spring, etc. 

• Strong understanding of Integration Platform as a Service 

• Significant experience with enterprise architecture patterns and best practices 

• Hands on experience designing and building cloud-native applications using Pivotal Cloud Foundry’s Application and Container Services as well as Azure; AWS and/or GCP is a plus.  

• Experience using Kubernetes/Docker and container related tooling 

• Experience managing infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation 

• Deep knowledge of Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF and/or Zachman 

• Strong technology modeling skills (e.g. UML) along with associated practices like Domain Driven Design 

• Knowledge of software development methodologies and tools like Agile (Kanban/Scrum), and GIT, Jira, Maven, Jenkins, etc. 

• Experience with DevSecOps best practices and toolchain /pipeline automation. 

• Knowledge of the financial services industry and in particular, a broad and deep understanding of products and services provided by Northern Trust is a plus. 

• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and controls 

• Analytical/problem-solving skills, leadership/organizational skills along with ability to operate in dynamic environment. 

• Strong understanding of nonfunctional requirements and SRE principles 

• Ability to develop strong relationships with stake holders and mentor team members 

• Knowledge of building solutions using Box.com
