About you and this role

You are a dedicated and experienced professional with a strong background in process operations and manufacturing. Performs and reports on operational related activities per the Operations Dashboard (OPD)-Tasks List. You thrive in a dynamic environment where safety, reliability, and efficiency are paramount. In this role, as an electrical and instrument technician, you are responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance of electrical and instrument equipment in our production facilities.

You will be part of a competent team, where you together contribute to ensuring the facility's availability.

Your proactive approach and technical skills will be crucial in maintaining the plant’s operations and may provide training to less experienced operators.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Operating Discipline policies, principles, procedures, standards, and practices to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
  • Operates and field checks of process equipment. Monitors process conditions, equipment and control systems and makes appropriate decisions to maintain and/or achieve desired rates and conditions aligned with Plant/Site/Business goals.
  • Perform scheduled operational tasks and address tasks arising from unplanned events. Collaborate with production members to balance workload and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform Immediate Response activities as assigned. Initiate and document preliminary investigations and participate in Root Cause Investigations.
  • Track and utilize key performance metrics to optimize operations and identify improvement opportunities. Perform Autonomous Maintenance, including minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Contact with suppliers. Responsible to make sure all drawings and paperwork are up to date. Participate in projects as an expert on instrument-related issues.

Qualifications

  • Higher education in electrical/automation or equivalent knowledge acquired through practical experience
  • Experience of working with industrial electrical and automation systems
  • Relevant experience in process operations, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • work experience in the process industry, manufacturing industry or other similar activities

Your Skills

  • Strong technical skills and experience in process operations.
  • Ability to operate and monitor process equipment and control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address unplanned events.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to mentor and train less experienced operators.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.

Additional notes

  • You should have good computer skills and are used to working in different IT systems
  • Subject to local agreements, you may be required to perform Autonomous Maintenance, including minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • The service requires a B driving license as “On Duty” is included
  • Fluent in Swedish and English.
  • Experience in calibration and maintenance programs
  • experience in PLC programming and monitoring (example: Siemens)
