Description
The UM-Flint School of Nursing has a LEO Lecturer I opening for the winter 2025 semester (beginning January 8, 2025), teaching HCS 502 (Healthcare Simulation, Curriculum, Design, Facilitation and Assessment). This is a 3-credit course and the second course in the Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Simulation curriculum. The class will be delivered as an online asynchronous course.Course description: Provides a framework for developing effective simulation-based learning experiences that encompass adult learning, education, instructional design, clinical standards of care, evaluation and simulation pedagogy. Additional topics include facilitation strategies based on learner needs and objectives, basic and advanced evaluation strategies, and debriefing strategies based on a theoretical framework.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
1. Master's Degree in health care or a related field
2. Certification as a Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) or Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS)
3. Minimum of 2 years experience working in an academic or hospital-based simulation center
