Housekeeper

Position Summary:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the apartment community, including all common areas and vacant units. A key responsibility is preparing apartments for new residents by ensuring they are clean, sanitized, and move-in ready according to company standards. This role is essential to creating a positive first impression and supporting resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins by performing detailed cleaning, including kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, appliances, windows, and all surfaces.
• Deep clean newly renovated or turned units to ensure they meet established move-in standards.
• Clean and maintain all community common areas, including leasing office, restrooms, clubhouse, fitness center, hallways, stairwells, and laundry rooms.
• Remove trash, debris, and construction materials from units and community areas as needed.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces to ensure cleanliness and appeal.
• Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies in common areas.
• Report maintenance needs, damages, or safety concerns in both units and common spaces to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain an organized supply area and ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and tools.
• Assist with light groundskeeping or trash pick-up duties when necessary.
• Adhere to all company policies, OSHA safety standards, and Fair Housing regulations.
• Provide friendly, professional interactions with residents, vendors, and team members.

• Work Environment:

This position works in both indoor and outdoor settings and may be exposed to cleaning agents, dust, weather conditions, and odors. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or apartment/multifamily cleaning preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts as needed.
