Electrical Cell Leader- 2nd Shift

About the role

The Electrical Cell Leader is a crucial position responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of technicians in the manufacturing and assembly of electrical components for transit vehicles. This role will ensure that production goals are met, quality standards are maintained, and that safety protocols are followed. The Electrical Cell Leader will also be responsible for training and mentoring team members while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Seeking candidates for 2nd shift (4p-12:30a). Overtime opportunities may be available after the scheduled shift and on Saturdays. MUST BE ABLE TOI TRAIN ON FIRST SHIFT FOR FIRST MONTH.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of Electrical Technicians within the production cell.
  • Coordinate and prioritize workloads to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist team members with complex troubleshooting and diagnostics of electrical systems, including high voltage components.
  • Ensure team members follow wiring schematics and engineering specifications accurately.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on technical processes and safety practices.
  • Document production progress, quality issues, and resolve any technician or process-related concerns.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the cell.
  • Act as a liaison between management and technicians to communicate updates and feedback.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an electrical technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Expertise in electrical system diagnosis, repair, and installation.
  • Familiarity with high voltage systems and safety protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and software.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
  • Flexibility to work both day and night shifts if needed.
  • Associate degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or related field preferred.
