What You Will Do:

We have an opportunity for a EHS Team Member Weekend Days: AWW 1(6am-6pm) Fri-Sat-Sun shift to be based in Columbus, GA.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Partner with the leadership team and line supervision to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and adherence to P&W procedures and UTC EH&S Standard Practices.
• Identify health & safety hazards and controls to mitigate risks.
• Assist the EH&S team with tracking implementation of EH&S initiatives and projects across the organization
• Contribute by updating and reviewing all Columbus EH&S instructions and training materials
• Data entry and validation in EH&S Sustainability Management and Reporting Toolkit as required
• Gather data on open items from PW sites on Safety, Health, and Risk Reduction metrics or projects
• Support implementation of the Pratt & Whitney EH&S Management system
• Organize and maintain assigned EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Participate in the site EH&S Council
• Continuously improve EH&S performance and operations, including improvement programs and corrective actions, environmental protection projects, conservation activities, and integration of EH&S initiatives into overall business operations
• Interface with government agencies to maintain regulatory compliance (audits, annual reports, permit applications, etc.)
• Conduct safety inspections and analyzes audit findings to develop corrective actions and achieve and maintain safe work practices
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High School Diploma/GED
• US Citizenship
• 2+ years of relevant experience in EHS /manufacturing environment.

Qualifications We Value:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or a related field, with minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience.
