Position Description:

The Food & Beverage Lead Supervisor supports the F&B Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager in providing leadership and direction to drive guest and team member engagement. They ensure that all restaurant and cafe activities are performed professionally and efficiently to create the ultimate guest experience. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Ojo Santa Fe Spa and Resort Core Values: Accountability, Authenticity, Diversity, Excellence, Gratitude, Happiness, Integrity, Mindfulness, Respect, and Teamwork.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise daily restaurant shift operations and ensure compliance with all policies, standards, and procedures.
2. Provide outstanding service to all customers.
3. Ensure kitchen, restaurant, and cafe operations are opened and closed according to policy.
4. Apply guidance for food hygiene, health, and safety issues.
5. Maintain eating areas at a high level of cleanliness.
6. Provide continual leadership and guidance to all team members.
7. Ensure proper POS policies are followed, including discounts and comps.
8. Staff food & beverage operations with trained competent individuals.
9. Adhere to government guidelines for food and beverage service.
10. Maintain Company and State policies for alcohol service.
11. Assist team members during meal periods and high demand times.
12. Learn and develop comfort and confidence working as a Barista at Sages Café.
13. Provide feedback and direction to subordinates through coaching, counseling, mentoring, and performance reviews.
14. Build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
15. Focus on the success of Blue Heron Patio and Sages Café.
16. Encourage extra learning and responsibility for future growth within the F&B Department and company.
17. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 2 years’ previous experience as a food & beverage supervisor.
2. Extensive server experience in an upscale resort and food and beverage department.
3. Experience in training and overseeing a staff of at least 10 food and beverage employees.
4. Experience with POS and writing/implementing SOP’s.
5. Safe Food Handler Certified, Smart Service Certified. 
6. Able to work independently and collaboratively.
7. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent organizational skills.
9. Must possess effective oral and written communication skills.
10. Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
11. Intermediate computer skills.
12. Strong interpersonal, team member relations and leadership abilities.
13. Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently and effectively, with a sense of urgency when circumstances dictate.
