Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Join our Nutrition Services team and play an important role in supporting patient care through meal service operations. The Food Service Worker is responsible for assembling and distributing patient meals, assisting patients with menu selections, maintaining tray assembly stations, and ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. This position also supports dishroom and pot room operations, delivers snacks and meal trays, maintains inventory and stock rotation, and helps create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff. Successful candidates thrive in a fast-paced setting, demonstrate strong customer service skills, and are committed to delivering exceptional service as part of a collaborative healthcare team.


Salary Range: $21.57-21.57/hr

• Demonstrated experience in food service operations, including tray assembly, meal delivery, food handling, and customer service.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, including the ability to understand oral and written instructions and accurately identify menu selections and food items.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate as a member of a team to meet service and production goals.

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately without the use of a calculator.

• Basic knowledge of therapeutic and modified diets, food service procedures, and food safety practices.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with patients, families, coworkers, medical staff, supervisors, and management.

• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and comply with departmental dress code and grooming standards.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive physical activities, including bend
