We’re seeking a Sr. Staff Technical Program Manager to join our Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange (ZTE) Platform Engineering team. In this critical role, you will drive organizational alignment and lead the planning and execution of complex product initiatives, managing multiple cross-organizational dependencies.You will also have opportunities to drive broader cross-organizational initiatives, and help design processes and systems to improve program efficiency, and ensure predictable, high-quality execution. This role requires strong program leadership, the ability to influence without direct authority, and a knack for navigating complex environments to deliver impactful technical initiatives. This role is onsite in San Jose, CA three times a week. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Engineering, you will:

• Lead and manage complex, multi-department technical programs from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities

• Drive cross-organizational alignment and manage critical dependencies across multiple engineering teams to ensure program efficiency and predictable delivery

• Proactively identify and mitigate risks, remove blockers, and drive resolution for complex program challenges, demonstrating advanced judgment

• Implement and refine program management best practices, contributing to workflow optimization, process improvement, and data-driven reporting

• Communicate program status, risks, and progress effectively to diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership, with credibility and clarity

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• 8+ years of experience in a technical environment, with a background in Technical Program Management, Engineering Management, or similar roles

• 3+ years managing large-scale, complex software development programs with significant cross-department impact and cross-organizational dependencies

• Demonstrated ability to drive organizational alignment and influence multiple teams and stakeholders without direct authority

• Strong skills in strategic program leadership, risk management for critical dependencies, process optimization, and advanced program data analysis

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Deep technical understanding in security and/or networking

• Certifications in program or project management (e.g., PMP, CSM)

• Experience with Agile at scale methodologies (e.g., SAFe, LeSS)
