Angular - Senior Software Engineer

The Team:

At Celonis Intelligence Experience, we are looking for a college to join our team of FE developers.

This team is based in Madrid and goes weekly to the office to work on design tech discussions to implement later on. We also enjoy having lunch together and attending meetups.

The team goal is to build web applications that will boost all our AI capabilities. Currently, we are working on 2 projects but soon there will be more. We implement features, gather feedback and refine, in order to get the best possible acceptance from users.

Our projects are core for the Company roadmap and we are eager to have you onboard. 

As part of Process Mining Experiences, you'll craft user-centric solutions, helping them to decode process bottlenecks, and find insights on how they operate their business to be effective. The area is composed of engineering teams dedicated to improving and extending the data and process visualization capabilities of the Celonis product based on customer problems as well as insights from Process Mining research and data visualization best practices. The team's own development of bespoke data and process visualizations and develops user-friendly authoring tools and UI components for customers to configure interactive analysis in Celonis Process Analysis.

The Role:

As a Frontend Engineer at Celonis, your responsibility is to find the best technical solutions applying frontend technologies to deliver a unique product, Celonis EMS.

We are at the frontier of frontend engineering, pushing the frontend boundaries to make our EMS platform a reality, by developing new frontend infrastructures to support our extensible / widget based ambition of our product, SDKs and libraries for external developers like our partners, design system to keep all our products with the same look & feel, etc..

Our tech stack is: Angular 13, Typescript, HTML5 & SASS. 

We develop using SOLID principles and focusing on performance.

The work you’ll do: 

• Create highly performant and scalable components and improve our existing widgets and components
• Write clean, understandable, and testable code
• Work on complex Angular topics and architectures
• Develop features to enhance other developer’s working environment
• Optimise app performance and maintain the existing resources
• Contribute and extend our Core architecture with Angular
• Drive performance optimization as we render high amounts of data
• Play an active role in product discussions, influencing the roadmap and user experience.
• Write design docs a steps to implement your own solutions
• Share you knowledge between your team mates to build a stronger team
• Be humble to learn from others.

The qualifications you need: 

• University degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge
• +5 yrs of experience in Frontend Development (Mid and Senior developers) 
• Proven experience with Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS 
• Passion to develop UX focused web apps
• Familiarity with data structures and algorithms, profiling and optimisation
• Experience in writing and setting up tests (unit, component and integration tests) 
• Solid understanding how to setup CI/CD pipelines will be a plus
• Good communication skills (English is a must!).
