JOB CONTEXT

One of the primary objectives of Prophesee is to push for the maturation of event-based vision, which requires the contribution of experts from many different fields ranging from the design of innovative algorithms to the industrialization of processing pipelines, going through the implementation of tools and APIs, the adaptation of pipelines to hardware compute platforms, the characterization of algorithms on concrete use-cases, the operational maintenance of code-bases, and more.

With the present position opening, Prophesee is looking to consolidate its application team, part of the Emerging and Industrial business unit to improve the maturity of Prophesee’s event-based vision assets and to their successful deployment on the operational use-cases of our customers.

For this purpose, we are looking for a Senior Application Engineer with a broad area of expertise. You will play a key role collaborating with technical experts and business colleagues to clarify requirements, advise on design choices and technical constraints, iterate on candidate solutions, and provide specifications, documentation, trainings and even contribute to implementation.

This opportunity allows technically minded engineers to broaden their engineering skills and application knowledge, while gaining marketing experience consolidating product offer. You will play a key bridging role between customers engineering teams and Prophesee development teams.

Your previous proven technical experience in Computer Vision, Optics, Signal processing and System Integration will contribute to strengthening the team's expertise.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• You lead in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle such as technical discovery, negotiating technical success criteria, product presentations, demonstrations, and support.
• You create demos showcasing benefits and performance of event-based technology for imaging applications.

• You create and improve product presentations and technical discovery.
• Taking benefit from your expert knowledge, you tailor feedback to development teams for new developments.
• You present at technical conferences and facilitate product specific customer training sessions.
• You participate in the strengthening of the ecosystem. It involves identifying potential partners, engaging in discussions with them, and ultimately delivering solutions that meet customer needs.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Among required skills:

• Master’s degree in computer vision, computer science, or equivalent degree in a relevant technical field.
• 6 to 10+ years of experience in semiconductor or computer vision industry.
• Excellent inter-personal skills, to collaborate and communicate effectively with analog and digital designers, system integration team and computer vision and machine learning engineers.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills. Experience working internationally – multiple time zones and cultures.  

• Hardware and software architecture.
• Programming skills in both C++ and Python.
• Proven analytic and problem-solving skills.

Would be a plus:

• Familiarity with the state of the art in Computer Vision, such as Camera Calibration, Corner Detection, Optical Flow, SLAM.
