About the role
We’re looking for a highly organized and proactive Showroom Operations Leadto optimize the day-to-day operations of our Midtown showroom. In this role, you’ll drive efficiency, streamline back-of-house processes, and support a best-in-class customer experience. From managing inventory and shipping logistics to ensuring the space looks impeccable, you’ll play a key role in keeping everything running smoothly.
Requirements
- Lead the execution of operational activities to ensure the showroom is organized, efficient, and customer-ready.
- Oversee the packaging and pickup of returns, discontinued items, and duplicate styles on a regular schedule.
- Help manage UPS and FedEx pickups and train others on our platform as needed.
- Collaborate with in-house tailors and client advisors to coordinate the shipment of customer alterations and packages.
- Order showroom supplies (through approved vendors) while adhering to budget guidelines.
- Ensure coffee, water, and snacks are replenished and ordered within budget.
- Help resolve showroom maintenance issues by working with the landlord, Showroom Manager, and Head of Showrooms.
- Receive merchandise and supplies, promptly informing the visual associates and relevant team members.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring customers have a positive, seamless experience.
- Accurately record time worked by using Deputy to punch in/out for shifts and breaks.
Key Outcomes:
- Back-of-house cleanliness and standards are maintained across all showrooms.
- Maintenance issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Supplies are ordered efficiently and within budget.
- Showroom profitability improves by reducing excess spending and optimizing operations.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience in retail operations, logistics, or showroom management.
- Proficiency with ShipStation and the ability to train others.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with client advisors, tailors, and showroom staff.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain a clean, efficient showroom.
- Ability to problem-solve maintenance issues and liaise with building management.
- Familiarity with propercloth.com or similar platforms to manage orders, returns, and customer notes.
- Professional appearance in line with the Proper Cloth brand.
- A growth mindset with a willingness to accept and act on feedback.
