Responsibilities
Opportunity:
Axway’s Global IT Team is seeking a Security Engineer to support our infrastructure security. Our Cybersecurity Solutions Group works to enable business while protecting our employees, assets and customer data. The selected candidate will manage the systems that provide 24x7x365 monitoring, vulnerability analysis and endpoint protection among other tools. The selected candidate will also work to improve detections and automations to create efficient alert and incident analysis and improve response time to information security related threats including malware, policy violations, and advanced persistent threats. They will interface with technical teams to promote security initiatives, ensure policy compliance, and protect Axway sensitive data and critical infrastructure while also assisting the team with Security Analysis reviewing and responding to alerts on a daily basis. The successful candidate will value documentation creation and communication, leverage technical experience to enhance team collaboration, and be self-driven to solve problems with a focus on the ongoing drive towards the team mission.

- Manage and Improve Logging Capabilities
- Create and maintain relevant documentation
- Manage and Maintain Automation development
- Manage and Maintain Reporting Processes
- Define and Automate Reporting Collection for SOC and CSG Management
- Evidence collection for company audits
- Compliance reporting
- Vulnerability reporting
- Security Posture reporting
- Assist in analysis of IT Infrastructure Security Configurations
- Understand on-prem/cloud network/systems architecture and configurations
- Evaluate security effectiveness
- Identify improvement recommendations
- Incident Response and Management
- Participate in incident response activities, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and contribute to the development of incident response plans.
Qualifications
Key Qualities
Technical skill sets are valued for any engineering role but the key requirement is excellent communication skills (verbal and written). The foundation of success is in the ability to work with diverse technical and non-technical teams to promote the implementation of security principles into the business processes. Effective communication with our internal and external customers while analyzing and solving security problems collaboratively to ensure the best customer experience is paramount to success. And it is expected that strong ethical behavior guides all work to protect our customers and their data.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years in a Security Engineering or similar role.
- Experience using/administering SIEM and AV technology [Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel, ArcSight | MS Defender, Symantec, McAfee, Crowdstrike, Cylance]
- Experience analyzing log sources originating from security and networking devices such as firewalls, routers, proxy, anti-virus products, and operating systems required.
