Client Data Support Developer (ONSITE, IN)

The Client Data Support Developer is involved in the process to design, develop, unit test, document, and perform ongoing support for the ETL/SQL code needed to support the Client Data support team. Evaluates data sources for completeness, prepare coding scripts, and complete data transformation processes in accordance with established design methodologies. Address and resolve issues associated with successful data transformation to maintain accuracy and meet service-level standards. Escalates complex data transformation process needs and production issues to Sr ETL Developers for resolution. Maintains communication on data transformation projects and production issues with relevant staff and client representatives as needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibility #1:  ETL Development

• Performs code/script creation, testing, implementation, debugging, and documentation of data transformation processes that enable the import of data into the insurance tracking system.
• Create and update SQL as scripts or to be used within workflows/ mappings
• Read and translate data transformation requirements documents
• Analyze and direct necessary changes to production data transformation code/scripts that enable data import processes to complete accurately into the insurance tracking system.
• Unit test workflows and mappings
• Resolves problems associated with production programs/scripts/transformations and provides technical guidance on complex data transformation programming.
• Works with senior data transformation development staff, system administrators, and technical support to ensure data transformations of client/vendor information are completed in accordance with established service level standards. 
• Works with Client Support / Lender Client staff/software vendors to analyze and direct data transformation projects: including new client implementations, client Data Processor conversion, client lender merger, and support of daily production data transformation activity.
• Attend meetings in support of development/project efforts
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibility #2: Help Desk Support

• Analyzes and resolves helpdesk tickets submitted by internal users in relation to data file processing/import issue
• Create technical design documents from information gathered through discovery sessions
• Log and document task progress for project and production support issues in JIRA

Key Responsibility #3: Code Deployments

• Creates Change Requests for production deployments
• Design or assist in designing end-to-end high / medium-level data flows
• Deploys Data Transformation code to all Environments (Production, Staging, QA)

• Build and enhance skills and knowledge around these data management / SQL tools/platforms

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):

• Bachelor’s degree, in Technical Field, required.
• 1-2 years of work-related experience required.
• Additional Information (such as licensure, certifications, valid Driver’s License, etc.):
• Desired: Certification in ETL Software Tool
• Structure Query Language (SQL) – reading, writing / updating data transformation scripts/programs
• Extract/Translate/Load (ETL) software tool.
• Ability to handle multiple complex tasks
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Create Source and Target data definitions
• Create pass-through data transformation mapping
• Create Aggregate, Expression, Lookup, and Filter data transformations
• Strong ability to define and follow instructions with concise correspondence: oral/written instructions and memos
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and/or issues. 
• Ability to understand complex logical coding/script statements
• Strong understanding of data file structures
