As a Physician Liaison, you will serve as an ambassador for Cleveland Clinic, building and nurturing relationships with independent providers and practice groups across the Cleveland market. In this dynamic, field-based role, you will travel daily to meet with physicians, address concerns, remove access barriers and ensure exceptional service on behalf of the organization. Your work will focus on strengthening referral relationships, driving patient care toward Cleveland Clinic and serving as a trusted resource for market intelligence and service recovery. By fostering strong connections and aligning with strategic growth priorities, you will play a key role in enhancing our presence in the community and supporting the continued success of the enterprise.
This is a remote position. Caregivers in this role will be driving to different areas to perform their duties; mileage reimbursement will be given. Caregivers in this position will work from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Act as an ambassador for Cleveland Clinic
- Ensure positive relations between the enterprise, family health centers, regional hospitals, Cleveland Clinic Main Campus and all physician customers and their staff.
- Provide customer relationship management within an assigned zone/territory
- Meet productivity standards by conducting 20 or more site visits per week and spending three to four operating in the field.
- Complete weekly site visit reports as well as enter all visits into CRM on a daily basis.
- Develop referrals from external referring physicians to Cleveland Clinic specialists.
- Identify service related issues/problems that Cleveland Clinic must address to better sever external physician constituency as well as market trends which may impact Cleveland Clinic strategic initiatives.
- Define and document issues and bring them back to Cleveland Clinic for discussion and resolution.
- Collaborate with enterprise partners, including the institutes and strategy departments to promote programs and services to drive revenue and volume.
- Participate in the onboarding of new physicians in assigned areas.
- Utilize EBI data base analysis to monitor trends in referral patterns, reacting quickly to any noticeable decrease in referrals as well as utilize current environmental/political issues that may impact Cleveland Clinic or the delivery of health care within the defined market.
- Collaborate with all enterprise outreach representatives in assigned areas to coordinate outreach efforts.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare or related field
- Valid Driver’s License (VDL) with four or fewer points on personal driving record
- Minimum five years experience in a healthcare or hospital environment and five years experience in physician sales or healthcare customer relationship management
- Must be creative, showcase problem-solving and negotiation skills, perform excellent verbal and written communication skills, have a customer-first mindset and handle stress well.
