About the role

Concept Plus is hiring a Business Analyst/Product Owner as part of a team tasked with the development and sustainment of a web application for a federal client. As a Business Analyst/Product Owner, you will work with client customers to manage the product backlog. You will work with appropriate stakeholders and development team members to manage the complete product lifecycle, from feature planning through implementation. You will identify priorities, support refinement of requirements, and participate in sprint planning. You well develop knowledge to become the product expert and work closely with the Scrum team to build the right functionality promptly. This responsibility includes working with stakeholders and customers to obtain detailed business requirements and to ensure that our Agile process is followed.

What you'll do

• Support the development of Product & Sprint Backlogs in Jira
• Organize the requirements of the solution as a Product Roadmap to detail the path to accomplish the delivered product and features
• Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and developers to refine high level requirements into detailed specifications for development
• Work with customer, architect, and scrum team to create backlog items that have well-defined acceptance criteria and other needed details for development
• Manage product lifecycle to meet product release goals in a Scrum development environment
• Prioritize backlog to create a steady stream of work for the development team
• Validate product updates to ensure all requirements are met
• Lead or participate in Agile ceremonies and team meetings
• Coordinate release communications and technical documentation
• Maintain regular communication with key team members and manage team communication channels
• Document meeting minutes with customers as needed or required
• Adaptable to perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with ability to gain and maintain a public trust clearance
• Bachelors Degree Required
• 5+ years in the working with software development projects
• 3+ years in a Product Owner/Business Analysis Role
• 1+ years of experience working in a Project Owner role in Agile environment
• Ability to work well with stakeholders, customers, and developers through the entire product lifecycle
• Experience providing guidance and direction to development teams to achieve results
• Ability to address competing requirements from demanding customer in a calmly but firm manner
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in JIRA and other collaboration software systems
• Certified Scrum Master preferred
• Five years of experience in a Product Owner role working with Jira preferred
