Sentara is currently hiring a full time Medical Payment Specialist.

Shift: 7am - 4pm

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the accurate and timely production of health plan/ insurance payable disbursements on all product lines. Preparation, balancing and reconciliation of weekly funding requirements and monthly disbursement reports for all payor sources in a timely manner. Reviews, coordinates and processes for payments, maintains vendor files and completes all departmental documentation.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma

  • 1 year of experience with billing

  • 1 year of experience with insurance

  • Experience with EPIC is required

Job Summary

PACE specific incumbents for this position require a minimum of one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population.
