What is the role:
As a Senior AIT Engineer, you will participate in the E-Space satellite assembly integration and testing (AIT) activities. As part of the E-Space AIT team, you will have the opportunity to test thousands of flight hardware units and directly contribute to the success of an innovative satellite architecture on-orbit.
This position is based in Saratoga, CA.
What you will do:
Spacecraft sub-system acceptance: • Organize the acceptance of the spacecraft sub-systems before integration to the flatsat (EM), or to the satellite structure (FM)
EM flatsat activities:• Define the Verification and Validation (V&V) requirements for the activity• GSE definition and procurement• Satellite procedure creation and execution on the flatsat• Result collection• V&V requirement Statement of Compliance • Participate in the spacecraft unit qualification test campaigns. FM AIT activities:• GSE definition and procurement• Satellite procedure creation and execution on the FM Spacecraft• Result collection• V&V requirement statement of compliance• FM Satellite environmental test Campaign

What you bring to this role:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in spacecraft engineering
• Previous experience with a satellite AIT campaign
• Good understanding of spacecraft subsystem development, having been involved in the development of at least one
• Understanding of electrical test equipment, test procedures, data acquisition systems and instrumentation
• Experience in environmental testing such as vibration, shock, thermal and TVAC
• Programming experience in Python, MATLAB/Simulink
• Demonstrated success working in a dynamic environment

Bonus points:

• Experience with radiation effects testing
• Project/program management skills
