Product Marketing Assistant

The Product Marketing Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting various aspects of marketing initiatives across our product offerings, including (but not limited to) market research, competitive analysis, content management, and assisting with other tasks related to product marketing.
- Manage projects and execution
- Participates in structured assignments of diverse scope
- Manages marketing spend for programs/products assigned, if necessary
- Contribute to strategic solutions, coordinates activities, and processes
- Coordinate production schedules and deliver all campaigns on-time and within budget
- Supports producer education, marketing, event, and sales efforts
- Effectively review and report results of marketing projects and identify areas for improvement in return on marketing investment
- Impact department results through innovation and provision of authoritative advice
- Identify new marketing strategies to generate awareness and brand exposure for products
- Follows industry trends to identify marketing opportunities and develop marketing message strategy. Develop subject matter expertise in industry and demographics of target customer
- Assist in identification of alternative distribution channels for assigned products
- Expand knowledge of Markel products, product change launch schedules, rating plans and competitive advantages of Markel
- Collaborate within own department and outside departments to develop key messages and content for literature, customer correspondence and other communications vehicles as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ years marketing work experience required. Insurance experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy-focused
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, and recognize priority tasks with ability to adjust accordingly
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Solid understanding of systems, workflows, and guidelines for assigned product lines
- Strong communicator with project management skills
- Ability to interpret KPI’s and make adjustments to projects/campaigns accordingly
