Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer.

In this role you will:
• Contribute in the design, implementation, testing, and maintaining of object-oriented software applications using Java, C++, Python, and/or Bash.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, integration, installation and test.
• Support SBIRS Program modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, and usability.
• Collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physics, or related field
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a
team environment
• Experience coding with C++, Python, Bash, and/or Java.
• Knowledge of data structures
• Ability to travel locally (up to 10%)
• Must have an interim secret security clearance prior to start

Desired skills

• Scrum, Kanban or other methodologies and/or understanding of Agile development concepts
• 1 or more years of software experience
• CI/CD: Git lab familiarity or experience
• Ability to design software solutions to address complex problems
• Willingness to work with a geographically distributed team
• Experience integrating software components via machine-to-machine interfaces (e.g., RTOS, Embedded Systems)
• Experience with test automation and continuous integration and deployment
• Strong background developing / debugging and/or testing
