JOB SUMMARY
The Central Access Pharmacist is a dynamic role requiring a highly skilled and experienced professional to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care across both retail and specialty pharmacy settings at UT Southwestern. This position involves direct patient interaction, including medication counseling, vaccine administration, and chronic disease management. The successful candidate will collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and ensure timely medication access. As the role expands, additional responsibilities may be incorporated to leverage the pharmacist's expertise and enhance the overall ambulatory pharmacy services of the health system. Vaccine program experience needed.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
Education
Bachelor's Degree - Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
Experience
1 year of pharmacy experience
English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Licenses and Certifications
Eligible for licensure by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) is required Upon Hire
Texas license with TSBP within 30 Days
(ACPE-IV) STERILE COMPOUNDING (IV) CERT Sterile compounding (IV) certification accredited by ACPE Upon Hire
(BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT certification with course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Upon Hire
ADV CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) will be required for inpatient positions within 180 Days

JOB DUTIES
- Performs job responsibilities in accordance with organizational and departmental policies, procedures, performance improvement objectives and environmental/infection control standards as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
- Performs all computer order entry in an accurate, thorough and timely manner. Reviews/updates medication profiles (therapies, allergies, height, weight, etc.)
