LyondellBasell is offering a full-time, paid internship that will provide you with a comprehensive overview of Government Relations, including international, federal, state, and local relations.

Based in the LyondellBasell Corporate Headquarters in Houston, this exciting role will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of various governmental functions while working closely with our experienced team.

 

What You Can Expect:

• Hands-On Experience: Assist the Government Relations team with sustainability policy assessment, development, and a variety of projects related to metrics, analytics, and policy development processes.
• Data Management: Support data entry, reconciliation, and compilation efforts for the Trade Association database and the rollout of the company’s Delegation of Authority (DoA) and Trade Associations initiatives.
• Collaborative Environment: Participate in brainstorm sessions, team meetings, and department meetings to gain a well-rounded experience in government affairs.
• Skill Development: Hone your critical thinking, attention to detail, and teamwork skills while working in a fast-paced environment.

What We Expect:

• Current enrollment or recent graduate in Political Science, International Studies, or a related field with an interest in Public Affairs or Government Relations.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe and internet applications.
• Fluent in English
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.
