A Day in the Life
The preferred working location for this role is the Medtronic facility located in Mounds View, Minnesota; however, the individual may also work remotely within the US or onsite at another US-based Medtronic facility.The Innovation Lab is an internal experience, design, and strategy consulting team at Medtronic. We use methods of empathy building and needs definition along with creative ideation and prototyping/testing practices to deliver the economic value for Medtronic Operating Units (OU) globally. This role serves a critical function across all of our offerings by providing operational support, best practices, and data-driven decision making.

CAREERS THAT CHANGE LIVES
- Provides project or program support to a functional group or business process.
- Monitors program/project/system status, budgets and timetables.
- Applies knowledge of and experience in company operations to assist in the development, implementation and administration of program/system guidelines and procedures.
- Gathers and compiles information for reports, including OU partner survey data, capacity and utilization metrics, and project performance data which directly feeds into improved portfolio performance and better decision-making.
- Provides technical support, which may include program/system training, program/system documentation, data extraction, data review, tracking and coding.
- Research coordination, including vendor management for voice of customer work and liaises with project leads, OU partners, and external vendors, ensuring seamless execution of research-based projects
- Coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes for team members.
- Maintenance of facilities and supplies at both Mounds View and Operational Headquarters.
- Execution and coordination of All Team meetings
MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)
- 4+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 0+ years of experience with an advanced degree
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)
- Previous Medtronic experience
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills (e.g. sense-making, pattern recognition, critical thinking)
- Detail oriented with strong project / portfolio management skills
- Curious, empathetic, creative and a continual learner
- Self-motivated and proactive. Enjoys the benefit of working with a diverse and highly skilled team
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Experience in Smartsheet and Resource Management platforms
