About the role
Northwest Kidney Centers seeks a Data Analyst to join the Information Technology team in a full-time, hybrid position (Burien, WA).Shift: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm.Purpose The Data Analyst supports organizational goals by transforming data into actionable insights that inform decision-making and improve operational efficiency. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining data applications, integrating with third-party platforms, generating SQL queries, and providing data-driven analytics and training to stakeholders across departments.Duties
Data Analysis and Visualization
- Build and deploy a range of data analytics, visualization, and modeling techniques to identify trends and assist leadership in decision-making.
- Design, create, and maintain data outputs and visualizations with input from stakeholders and end users.
- Track, trace, and report progress on data-related projects.
- Support users in scoping and defining data and visualization requirements.
- Support and assist other data analysts across departments.
- Provide data guidance, training, and advice to non-technical audiences.
2. Data Application Development & Integration
- Develop and support data applications for internal use.
- Source data required to support data applications.
- Build backend processes to extract relevant data from applications and/or databases.
- Optimize the performance of data applications.
- Provide expertise in creating structured query language (SQL) statements for analytics, data mining, visualization, and reporting.
- Support and align with data governance practices.
- Provide expertise in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Monitor, review, and work toward resolving data issues and requests.
- Escalate issues to third-party support and manage vendor responses related to data platforms.
- Ensure compliance with change control procedures.
- Create documentation including (but not limited to) design, test plans, data definitions, and change control logs.
- Ensure adherence to legal and organizational policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Data Analytics Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data-focused role.
- Experience with business intelligence and data warehousing solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL-based databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL).
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
- Familiarity with ETL tools; preference for Mulesoft Anypoint Studio.
- Healthcare IT experience is a plus.
