The Staff Assistant will provide a variety of moderately complex support duties for the Assistant Dean of Assessment & Accreditation and support for the Associate Dean of Research's Neighborhood Nursing Program.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Neighborhood Nursing Program Support (for Associate Dean for Research):
• Provide operational and administrative support for the Neighborhood Nursing initiative, including scheduling community meetings, health fairs and outreach events.
• Coordinate communications and logistics with community organizations, hospitals and local agencies.
• Maintain program records, including data on community engagement, outcomes, and participant demographics.
• Assist in tracking program budgets, grants and reports to stakeholders.
• Support program marketing efforts by preparing newsletters, flyers, and social media content in collaboration with the marketing team.
• Serve as point of contact for program participants, community health workers, and neighborhood ambassadors.
Assessment, Accreditation, and Compliance Support) for Assistant Dean for Assessment & Accreditation):
• Coordinate and manage documentation for program assessment, accreditation reviews, and continuous processes.
• Track timelines and deliverables for accreditation cycles and program evaluations.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data to support accreditation self-studies, annual reports, and compliance submissions.
• Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with university, state and national accrediting body regulations.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to support decision-making by the Assistant Dean and leadership team.
Office & Operations Coordination:
• Manage calendars for both the Assistant Dean and Associate Dean, scheduling meetings, events and travel arrangements.
• Organize and maintain digital and paper filing systems for assessment, accreditation, research, and Neighborhood Nursing documentation.
• Draft correspondence, prepare reports, and develop presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Coordinate internal and external events, such as accreditation site visits, research forums, and community outreach activities.
• Monitor office operations, supplies, and equipment, ensuring a professional and efficient work environment.
• Respond to inquiries from faculty, students, community members, and external agencies with professionalism and discretion.
• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education or years of experience.
• 1-3 years of secretarial or administrative support experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite.
• Must have excellent written, verbal and organizational skills.
Knowledge of Nursing accreditation is desired.
