Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
We are seeking highly motivated university students in their junior year (graduating May/June 2026) to learn and contribute hands-on while working with our People Solutions (HR) teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to get exposure into the world of talent attraction, development, and engagement!
Interns will be placed on one of the following teams based on interest and business needs:
Compensation • Benefits • People Support Services • People Development & Engagement • People Intelligence & Analytics • Talent Acquisition • People Experience • Global Giving & Doing
The People Solutions internship program lasts 12 weeks during the summer and is a paid, full-time position. The position is in-person (hybrid), and no relocation will be provided for the role. Preference will be given to candidates who do not need to relocate to the San Jose, CA area.
Qualifications
Required:
- Long-term interest in a career in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or other related HR function and current participation in a Human Resources major/minor or related university curriculum
- Current undergraduate student graduating in May or June of 2026
- High technical aptitude is required for this role, including a strong background in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint as well as the ability to learn new software/apps
- Right to work in the US without requiring Western Digital to commence or sponsor an immigration case to employ you at any point in the future required (for example, H-1B or other employment-based immigration case)
Preferred:
- Preference given to candidates who will not require relocation to the San Jose, CA area.
