As a Security Professional - Academic Site Front Desk - Overnight in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and assisting with visitor management to help maintain a secure environment. You will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence and providing exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or entry.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activity, and/or emergencies according to site procedures.
• Assist with visitor management, including logging guests and providing directions or information as needed.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or more years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
