This position works out of our Sturgis, MI location in the Abbott Nutrition division. The Inventory Coordinator is a functional role that includes shipping and receiving tasks to ensure all shipments are received and/or shipped timely manner and per requirements. This position may also include Warehousing & Inventory tasks if applicable.
What You'll Work On
- Timely processing of receipts and shipments, including international and DG.
- International and DG shipping training and certification provided.
- Cross functional communication with Regulatory, Customer Service, Purchasing, Planning, and others as required.
- Timely returns processing if applicable.
- Follow provided control procedures to complete tasks.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues as they arise during shift.
- Assist management in developing improvement strategies and execution plans.
- Complete Warehousing & Inventory execution tasks if applicable.
- Perform Material Movements both physically and systematically.
- Generate Work Orders from an ERP system.
- Perform Work Order Receipts in ERP system.
- Perform cycle counting.
- Process stock transfers and material requests.
- Maintain a neat and safe work environment.
- Operate material handling equipment.
- Including potential use of forklifts or other equipment with appropriate training and/or certification.
- Load and/or unload trucks as required.
- Must work over time as required for business needs.
- Support all initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
