Job Summary/Description:  

KPTV/KPDX seeks a motivated and energetic Production Assistant to join the FOX 12 News team. The Production Assistant will primarily be responsible for running the teleprompter and assisting the production team during Good Day Oregon, the station's #1 morning show, but will include exposure to newscasts on all day parts. This is a position with great potential for upward mobility for someone looking to start a career in production or journalism.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Operate teleprompter for newscasts
- Assist production team in studio management, equipment upkeep, and other tasks
- Work with newsroom employees to benefit the newscast and its content
- Engage with news, weather, and traffic anchors during the newscast about show timing

Qualifications/Requirements:

- High school diploma required. Some college or college degree preferred
- Previous experience in a live production environment encouraged
- Must work well under pressure
- Must be eager to learn and be a team player
- Must have solid communication skills and be open to feedback
