Job Details:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician. This role is essential in ensuring the preventive maintenance, repair, and rebuild of various equipment and systems within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance:

• Solely responsible for the preventive maintenance and rebuild of assigned ACE debone machines, tender/shell belts, butterfly conveyors, skinners, and Sensor X equipment.
• Monitor equipment during production and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Document all corrections made.

Installation and Monitoring:

•   Assist with the installation of new equipment.
•   Monitor equipment drives, HMIs, and computer boards.

Troubleshooting:

•   Troubleshoot mechanical problems using detailed schematics, blueprints, and manufacturer’s manuals.

Repair and Replacement:

•   Repair or replace motors, gearboxes, belts, cylinders, blades, cones, shields, and miscellaneous components.
•   Safely replace blades and sharpen as needed.

Job Requirements:

Experience:

•   Minimum of 6 months of maintenance experience.
•   Experience with pneumatic valves and controls.

Skills:

•   Ability to troubleshoot complex automated systems.
•   Ability to learn and retain equipment-specific training from manufacturers.
•   Good hand-eye coordination.

Physical Requirements:

•   Ability to climb ladders, reach, lift, and work overhead.
•   Ability to walk, stand, or sit for the duration of the shift.
•   Ability to move equipment and machinery over 40 lbs. when needed.
•   Ability to bend, turn, and move freely throughout the plant.

Environmental Tolerance:

•   Ability to tolerate climates ranging from very cold to very hot and from very wet to very dry.

Communication:

•   Ability to communicate and get along with others.

Compliance:

•   Ability to comply with OSHA standards and follow safety rules.

Additional Information:

Requirements:

  Prior Employee Waiting Period:

• Must have 90 days from the last term date.

Number of Times Worked at Tyson:

• If terminated 3x or more, not eligible for rehire.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months of industrial maintenance experience.

Work Schedule:

•   Saturday and Sunday work is required if needed.
•   Work closely with other maintenance personnel to receive and pass along information concerning the job.

Internal and External Applicants:

•   Interviews will be conducted with internal applicants currently employed at the facility first, followed by external applicants who meet the hiring criteria if an internal applicant is not selected.
