The position of Project Coordinator is a full time grant funded position, in which the individual will perform a variety of administrative activities to support the Transforming Youth Justice Program of the Tow Youth Justice Institute (TYJI) at University of New Haven. The Project Coordinator works as part of the team which consists of TYJI staff and faculty members to achieve the goals of the TYJI as identified through the strategic plan.

· Committed to and proficient in subject matter on topics of youth justice, juvenile justice, leadership, best practices in juvenile justice and reform efforts locally and statewide.

You will:
· Support and coordinates Transforming Youth Justice Program
· Lead point person in the coordination of the candidate selection process for the Transforming Youth Justice program, collect and track all applications, coordinate review committee meetings, participate in the reviewing and scoring of applications, and create and send out acceptance and denial letters.
· Lead point person in assisting in the preparation, gathering, and distributing training material to cohort participants.
· Lead point person and assist and support the lead facilitator at each monthly session and any other program meetings by attending each monthly session to ensure material, technology, and any other resources are coordinated to ensure a successful day.
· Coordinate and communicate with guest presenters and speakers regarding scheduling, logistics, materials and supplies, and expenses; secure necessary media releases, take photographs, elicit testimonials, and guest speaker/presenter bios and/or CVs.
Assist in the development of the Alumni Network and the implementation of the Alumni Network.
Qualifications
You need:
· Bachelor's degree is preferred for this position. Equivalent combination of education and demonstrated experience may be considered.
· Experience in program coordination, good communication skills, both oral and written with ability to respond to project related emails in a timely manner.
· Media literacy with experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
· Flexibility with projects and changing demands.
· Ability to work independently and autonomously, take direction and feedback from multiple staff
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and Power Point.
· Experience with, or aptitude to learn technology systems including conference phones; computers, laptops, and pads/notebooks, (i.e. PCs and Mac/Apple products); copiers, printers, scanners, and fax machines; Smart Boards and LCD projectors; webinar, Zoom, Teams and Skype/FaceTime interface platforms.
· Strong oral and written communication skills including meeting minutes, transcription, and reporting.
