Job Description:

Human Resources Manager

Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager will support the Director of Human Resources in the execution of day-to-day human resources activities for assigned Lines of Business (LOBs). This role is responsible for administering core HR programs and providing operational HR support in areas including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation administration, compliance, and employee engagement.

The HR Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for managers and employees within assigned Commercial business groups, ensuring consistent application of company policies, procedures, and HR practices. This position will partner with the Director of HR on strategic initiatives while primarily focusing on the effective execution and administration of HR programs and processes.

Position Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of HR in the administration and execution of HR programs, policies, and initiatives for assigned Lines of Business.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees regarding company policies, employee relations matters, performance management, and general HR inquiries.
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including posting positions, coordinating interviews, supporting hiring managers, and facilitating onboarding activities for new hires.
  • Partner with hiring managers to maintain accurate job descriptions and identify required skills and qualifications for open positions.
  • Coordinate background checks and employee eligibility verification processes in partnership with approved vendors.
  • Assist in administering compensation, benefits, leave administration, and other employee programs in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Support performance management processes by monitoring timelines, tracking completion of performance reviews, and assisting managers with process-related questions.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary actions, and documentation in partnership with the Director of HR.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation within Workday and ensure compliance-related documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports and metrics to support HR operations and business needs.
  • Support administration of sales incentive plans through reporting coordination and data validation activities in partnership with Finance and HR leadership.
  • Participate in employee onboarding and orientation activities to support a positive employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of HR best practices, employment regulations, and HR technologies.
  • Participate in HR and business meetings as needed to support communication and implementation of HR initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5–7 years of related HR experience required.
  • 3–5 years of HR support experience within a sales or commercial organization preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS and talent management systems, preferably Workday.
  • Experience with the E-Verify process preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
