HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the delegated nursing functions under the direction of the Nurse Manager and clinical nurse in the Outpatient Infusion Department. This position is responsible for assisting with direct patient care and clerical duties that are an essential function in the coordination of optimal patient care, including, but not limited to scheduling patients , patient hygiene/toileting, mobility assistance, interdepartmental transportation, vital signs, charting, ordering supplies, cleaning and stocking patient areas, chart audits and interaction with all areas of the Outpatient Infusion Department .

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

Minimum:

High School Diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of a MedicalAssistant training course at a vocational/technical school.

 

Required Experience:

Successful completion of a Medical Assistant externship andtwo (2) or more years of job-related experience preferred

 

Required Certification/License/Registry:

None

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS. 

Clear, concise communication skills.  Customer service skills.  Ability to follow instructions.  Ability to operate telephones.  Ability to operate tablet computers.
