PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as a Revenue Cycle Organization (RCO) leader effective in setting strategic direction on revenue cycle management (RCM) formation and function. Responsible for the patient or consumer financial experience which includes the following functions: patient access, scheduling and preregistration, authorization, customer care, and patient responsibility management.
  • Influences and promotes teamwork in a dynamic executive environment and matrixed organization by maintaining positive relationships, pursuing change appropriately and thoughtfully, and demonstrating ability to problem solve to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Creates strategy within the broader RCO organization to produce high performance and differentiated patient financial experience. Leads and partners across the organization to gain support for strategies and to lead in change management as needed to serve the patient in all areas of financial support.
  • Implements a management system that is customer-focused, encourages efficiency and automation, drives performance, and effectively develops and rewards key performers.
  • Organizes departmental areas through appropriate structure and delegation of functions. Identifies succession planning needs.
  • Selects and holds accountable any business partner/vendor in the performance of services on behalf of the organization which includes patient collection vendors, Medicaid eligibility and technology vendors - to deliver top tier patient financial experience.
  • Develops and manages the operating and capital budgets for operations, analyzes variances, develops plans and takes appropriate actions for productivity and performance improvements.
  • Serves on various task forces supporting patient financial experience and quality improvement teams.
  • Coordinates with leaders on technology related initiatives, including system implementation and upgrades/optimizations. Facilitates business partner relationships with vendor technology resources.
  • Recruits, engages, develops, leads, and manages assigned staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with equivalent years of experience and education

EXPERIENCE

  • Ten years' experience, with five years' demonstrated progressive leadership experience
