About the Role
The Head of Corporate Applications and Systems will oversee existing and future corporate applications which enable iCapital’s business functions. This role will establish and execute the corporate applications strategy, work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, peer technology groups, and third-party vendors to enable iCapital’s departments, which includes physical locations in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia. iCapital is a cloud only technology company so the person in this position must be familiar with enterprise-class cloud software solutions (e.g. Salesforce, NetSuite, Coupa, Ceridian Dayforce, Expensify, Palo Alto, Prisma, AWS, Azure, Okta). This role will set the strategy for corporate applications data and systems integration, manage deployed platforms, and work with stakeholders when selecting and onboarding new capabilities for the company.
The Head of Corporate Applications and Systems will report to the Head of Risk Management and Corporate Solutions and will oversee SaaS solutions at iCapital. This includes hands-on work with senior staff to understand and address gaps and weaknesses, and deploy new capabilities across iCapital.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Technology Leadership: Develop and execute the corporate applications and systems strategy aligned with the company's business objectives, ensuring that technology initiatives support the company's growth and competitiveness in the FinTech sector.
- Corporate Systems Oversight: Manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of mission-critical enterprise systems, including HR, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance, Finance, CRM, and Risk Management tools and platforms.
- Technology Infrastructure Management: Work closely with the Head of Corporate Infrastructure and Technology to ensure applications and systems operate seamlessly on the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and cloud services are scalability, reliability, and secure to handle sensitive financial data.
- Regulatory and Compliance, and Risk Management: Ensure that applications and systems comply with stringent financial regulations (e.g., SEC, FINRA, GDPR, etc.), oversee compliance audits, and implement robust risk management and cybersecurity measures to protect against threats.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors, fintech partners, and third-party service providers. Select and collaborate with vendors that align with the company's needs and regulatory requirements.
- Data Governance and Analytics: Coordinate with other teams to oversee data governance frameworks, ensuring data accuracy, privacy, and security. Utilize advanced data analytics tools to derive insights for informed decision-making and to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Innovation and Technology Adoption: Identify emerging technologies relevant to iCapital’s services, evaluate their potential applications, and implement innovative solutions to improve products, services, or operational processes.
- Budget and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage applicable components of iCapital’s Technology budget, allocating resources effectively to meet the company's technological needs while optimizing costs.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of IT and project management professionals, providing strategic guidance, setting objectives, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the Technology department that supports 1200 globally distributed employees.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of supervisory and technical experience, managing enterprise level SaaS solutions and end-user computing environments
- 5+ years managing a fully cloud-based, corporate applications and computing environment
- Able to drive results, lead multi-disciplinary teams, influence others, and foster collaboration
- Able to travel to throughout the U.S. and to international offices as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both senior business users and cross-functional teams to deliver eff
