About the role

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Project Manager to join their Finance Change Delivery Office supporting Initiative delivery within the Corporate Finance and or Treasury business functions.  The FCDO team is responsible for oversight and delivery of business initiative change objectives, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure delivery on-time, in-scope, and on-budget business initiatives and programs, as well as serving as advocates for Wells Fargo's vision and business plans across the Finance organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a Business Execution lead driving initiative performance;  develop and create communications related to Initiative status and performance for key stakeholders and senior management.

  • Work with teams to develop strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique business challenges that require solid analytical skills, extensive knowledge of Business Execution, and understanding of business, delivering longer term and large scale solutions.

  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership for implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large scale and cross organizational.

  • Lead team meetings or steering committee to facilitate decision making and support implementation of recommendations and plans.

  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across multiple lines of businesses and serve as an experienced advisor to the leadership.

  • Facilitate Product-level meetings, including Quarterly Big Room Planning; may be responsible for planning and facilitation of other events as needed.

  • Establish and manage end-to-end delivery timelines for complex, cross-product initiatives, programs, and projects spanning multiple teams/lines of business.

  • Partner closely with both our Product and Technology leaders using business expertise to coordinate across teams, lines of business and external vendors for on-time delivery.

The role will involve:

  • Leading large initiatives supporting the Corporate Finance and or Treasury functions to deliver Product components of significant complexity within the Enterprise Change Management framework, leading engagements with users to understand complex problems and bring issues to resolution in accordance with change management timelines

  • Reviewing and analyzing complex business organizational systems to anticipate change impacts

  • Analyzing or resolving resource requirements, project dependencies, planning or progression, financials management, status reporting, effective communications, ongoing risk adaptation, appropriate escalation strategies and implementation while leading team to meet change management deliverables and leveraging solid understanding of policy, methodology and artifact creation

  • Collaborating and consulting with project coordinators, project managers, business partners, stakeholders, and technology leads in times of highly unusual or complex ambiguity and achieve project goals and established timelines in coordination with more experienced management

  • Extensive engagement with, and presentation to, senior Finance stakeholders and leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Business Execution, end-to-end Initiative Implementation, combined with Strategic Planning experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Direct experience leading large, cross functional, Finance-focused change initiatives within a global Financial Services organization

Desired Qualifications:

  • Financial Forecasting experience in a CFO/ Corp Finance/ Balance Sheet Mgt function

  • Experience and fluency in Enterprise Finance functions (domain experience in Forecasting, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Capital Markets or Accounting spaces)

  • Extensive understanding of Project Management and PM Methodologies, Strategic Planning, and financial product areas

  • Track record of exceeding expectations in current position and consistent upward trajectory in role scope and accountability

  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and executive-level scrutiny

  • Proven experience collaborating and building partnerships in a matrix environment

  • Proven experience managing multiple priorities in a constantly changing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity/undefined areas
