A Day in the Life
We are seeking a committed professional to join our team. While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role.

As a Medtronic Sustainability Specialist with Medtronic's Acute Care and Monitoring business, you will enhance the customer experience in our Nellcor Pulse Oximetry Sustainability Programs. The Sustainability Specialist will aid the sales force in sustainability optimization in Key Accounts as well as partner with the used sensor collections technician to offer a consistent and exceptional level of service. The Sustainability Specialist will foster relationships with hospital and health system leaders to drive program implementation, adoption, and on-going management in order to meet and exceed customer sustainability objectives.
This field based role is centered in Denver, CO and will cover a multistate territory. Travel is substantial, approximately 75% of the time.
A Day in The Life
Serves as the Sustainability expert to support sales of sustainability solutions.
Builds strong relationships with health system leaders within key accounts; develops Sustainability champions at each facility and supports them in the development of institutional policies and processes related to sustainability.
Leads conversion execution – conducts hospital walk-throughs and implementation in all new accounts.
Conducts on-site education and on-going support for sustainability customers.
Supports field personnel in providing the best possible outcomes and service for Medtronic customers by coordinating between the bedside clinician, the service technician, and Medtronic sales partners.
Engages hospital staff in customer business reviews, leveraging sustainability reports, savings metrics, and tracking to goals defined by the account.
Drives program adoption through ongoing clinician education, optimizing workflow, and delivering tangible results.
Partners with sales colleagues to execute sustainability initiatives pre and post-sale (Sales Representative, Regional Manager, Sustainability Service Technician, and sustainability partners)
Participates in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness.
Communicates key market and competitive insights to inform Medtronic strategy
Achieves KPIs for key accounts
75% travel within assigned geography
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have
3 years of medical device experience
- Pulse oximetry or patient monitoring experience
- Experience in reprocessing / sustainability
- Experience in service, supply chain, or clinical roles
- Strong ability to do in-depth analysis, draw conclusions and build a customer strategy from the data is important
- Process oriented – exceptional documentation, preparation, organization, and follow-through is a must
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with clinicians and hospital administration, as well as with various levels within the hospital, with our service partners, as well as with Medtronic colleagues
- Confidence in reviewing reports and trends in front of the customer
- Solid understanding of the clinical workflow in each patient care area
- Understanding of the clinical application of pulse oximetry
- High energy, results-oriented, and self-motivated
