The QEP Director has responsibility for the implementation and management of the Quality Enhancement Plan along with assessment planning and updates as part of Dallas College’s reaffirmation of its SACSCOC accreditation. The QEP Director reports directly to the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Success and will additionally report indirectly to the Senior Vice Provost of Academic Services. This position will ensure implementation, monitoring and tracking efforts of a reimagined first-year experience program focusing on high-impact retention and persistence efforts.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of high impact practices that support first-year student success
Knowledge of student success assessment and evaluation best practices
Ability to effectively monitor and track multi-tiered projects and initiatives.
Utilization of technology that supports the effective monitoring, tracking and assessment of project components.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
Ability to analyze data and make data-informed recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general oversight of the QEP implementation plan
Ensure QEP implementation is sustained through continuous input and participation from students, faculty, staff, and administration
Lead and coordinate QEP-related assessments at the department and broader institutional levels
Ensures QEP remains in compliance with SACSCOC requirements
Manage and coordinate the assessment process to include program and student learning objectives
Compile data collection and analysis
Provide regular reports (quantitative and qualitative), feedback and recommendations to departmental implementation partners, students, and the broader college community.
Co-manage the QEP budget
Collaborate with institutional professional development resources to plan, initiate, and execute the delivery of relevant professional development to support first-year students.
Prepare and present annual QEP status reports for the QEP Steering Committee, institutional leadership, and other relevant constituencies
Co-develop and execute QEP marketing and outreach in partnership with institutional stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Success Coaching, Outreach, Pathway Success, etc.)
Assist with the preparation of reports to SACSCOC
Serve as a liaison between faculty, staff and all QEP activities
Chair the QEP Steering Committee
Provide leadership and coordination for first-year aligned institutional effectiveness activities
Analyze and disseminate information about the institution in support of institutional planning and reporting

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in higher education leadership, student development, community college leadership, educational research and evaluation or related field.
Minimum two (2) years of experience coordinating or managing projects or institutional endeavors
Minimum two (2) years of program assessment or evaluation experience.
Minimum one (1) year of experience supervising and evaluating team member performance.
Official transcripts are required.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of SACSCOC requirements.
