Job Description

The In-Store Commercial Sales Development Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth and enhancing the customer experience within the retail store environment. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, training staff, and ensuring the commercial success of the store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of retail dynamics, and the ability to motivate a team toward achieving sales targets. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Strategic Planning and Execution: 

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve commercial objectives and maximize store revenue. 

2. Team Leadership and Management: 

  • Coach and mentor sales staff to improve performance and achieve sales targets. 
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team product knowledge and sales techniques. 

3. Sales Monitoring and Reporting: 

  • Monitor sales performance and generate reports to provide insights and recommendations for improvement. 
  • Analyze market trends to identify potential growth opportunities and competitive advantages. 

4. Merchandising and Inventory Management: 

  •  Collaborate with merchandising teams to optimize product displays and in-store promotions. 

5. Collaboration and Communication: 

  •  Work closely with other departments, including marketing and supply chain, to ensure seamless operations and consistent messaging.
  • Communicate effectively with store staff to keep them informed about sales goals, initiatives, and performance metrics. 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred). 
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a retail sales environment. 
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to analyze sales data and generate actionable insights. 
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a sales team. 
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required by store needs.
