What You'll Do
The Discover Design Undergraduate Internship Program offers exciting internship opportunities for highly motivated individuals who are interested in supporting product design across websites and apps that deliver on business strategies and delight customers. As part of a cross-functional product team this person will support the creation of design experiences that are easy to use, accessible and exhibit strong visual design. They will use qualitative and quantitative data to help understand problems and define solutions. They will be challenged to exercise and expand critical thinking and problem-solving skills by actively managing and escalating risk, mitigating customer-impacting issues and working alongside proven leaders on projects and initiatives aligned with Discover’s high priority goals.

Participants can expect:   

  • An internship aimed at aligning personal talents with business initiatives

How You'll Do It

  • Develop design concepts, wireframes, prototypes and other UX/UI design deliverables in Figma and other tools.

  • Understands the target users’ needs, motivations, and behaviors as it relates to specific project or area.

  • Monitors the competitive landscape to understand customer expectations and to spot opportunities for innovation.

  • Designs production ready materials and release files.

  • Partners with frontend and backend engineers to translate design into code.


Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Currently enrolled in accredited 4 year college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree in information technology or relevant field

  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
