Your role at Baxter
Baxter Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic human resources team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our HR Director and other members of the HR team. This is a phenomenal opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in HR.
Regular on-site hours: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, with one day a week to cover off shifts (5am-2pm).
What you'll be doing
- Supports HR team in implementing functional HR plans and programs including performance management, ACR, DE&I, BPTW, etc.
- Proactively communicates and interprets HR policies, practices and key HR programs to employees and people leaders.
- Independently collaborates on crafting and implementing HR-related projects of different scales in coordination with internal and external partners at the local facility.
- Resolves Employee Relations issues according to Baxter policies and labor law.
- Participates in local talent planning, including implementation of training and development plans, and supports talent management initiatives, including leadership assessments.
- Collaborates with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to make hiring decisions for mid-level leaders and below.
- Designs and implements data management processes, including workflow changes in Workday, data audits, earnings uploads, and data corrections.
- Maintains measurement systems and analyzes data to determine the impact of HR programs.
- Sustains a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
- Learns, understands, and applies rigorous quality standards, SOPs, and cGMP.

- Strong understanding of employment law and employee relations, specifically focusing on the ADA and FMLA, as well as other relevant laws and regulations.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of Human Resources professional experience.
- 3 years of experience in a large manufacturing environment preferred.
- Demonstrable knowledge of HR management components such as training, compensation, performance management, change leadership, and interpersonal design. Validated application of those skills and partnership with HR Centers of Expertise also needed.
- Successful track record persuading and influencing at multiple levels of an organization, building positive relationships, effective presentation skills, and balancing multiple priorities.
- Strong project and process management skills and strong advising skills. Experience working with Leadership Team members and employees from a variety of locations globally.
- Strong HR process orientation (Compensation, Talent Management, etc).
- Employee relations experience; experience working with employees to roll out processes or policies and resolve issues.
