Vice President, Project Management - Mission Critical

What this job involves:

Lead the strategic direction and delivery of complex mission-critical facility programs across multiple locations, ensuring exceptional client outcomes and operational excellence. This executive role combines deep technical expertise in data center infrastructure with advanced program management capabilities to drive enterprise-level critical facility initiatives from conception through implementation.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Establishing program governance frameworks and delivery methodologies for mission-critical portfolios
• Developing executive-level relationships with key client stakeholders and C-suite leadership
• Directing multiple simultaneous high-value projects across geographically dispersed locations
• Leading cross-functional teams of project managers, engineers, and technical specialists
• Serving as final technical authority for complex engineering and implementation decisions
• Ensuring reliability, resiliency, and redundancy requirements are met across all projects
• Identifying strategic growth opportunities within existing client relationships
• Implementing best practices in critical environment program management
• Advising on emerging technologies and industry trends in data center infrastructure

Desired experience and technical skills:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in mission-critical facilities
• 10+ years of leadership experience managing large-scale capital programs
• Demonstrated track record of successful program delivery for Tier III/IV data centers
• Comprehensive knowledge of mission-critical facility design, construction, and operations
• Expert understanding of electrical and mechanical systems for high-reliability environments
• Exceptional strategic thinking and executive communication skills
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams
• Willingness to travel up to 40% nationally or internationally

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or advanced technical certification
• Experience with infrastructure modernization and technology refresh programs
• Familiarity with global standards and best practices for critical facilities
• Understanding of financial modeling and ROI analysis for capital investments
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities
• Advanced risk management and decision-making abilities
• Experience managing complex client relationships at executive levels
• History of industry engagement through speaking, publishing, or committee work

Estimated total compensation for this position:

165,000.00 – 215,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
