Senior DevOps Engineer

Crumbl is a leading innovator in food and beverage technology, dedicated to delivering cutting-edge software solutions for franchising. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of building, maintaining, and enhancing the testing, monitoring, and related systems for our backend infrastructure. As a crucial member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems to support our high-volume sales operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust testing frameworks and processes to ensure the quality and reliability of our backend systems.
• Build and maintain monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address issues, bottlenecks, and performance degradation in our systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to define monitoring requirements and implement monitoring solutions that align with business objectives.
• Continuously optimize and enhance our testing and monitoring infrastructure to keep pace with the evolving needs of our business and technological advancements.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to system performance, scalability, and reliability, and implement effective solutions to mitigate risks and ensure smooth operations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in testing, monitoring, and backend systems engineering, and recommend improvements and innovations to enhance our capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of proven experience as a Senior DevOps engineer with a focus on backend systems.
• In-depth knowledge of backend technologies, frameworks, and architecture.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python
• Experience with AWS (preferred) or other cloud platforms
• Experience upgrading or migrating systems within a cloud platform (i.e. migrating from AWS Lambda to ECS, upgrading RDS instances)
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing techniques, and best practices.
• Proven track record of successfully leading QA efforts for backend deployments.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and automation tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
