Patient Access Representative Responsibilities to Include:
- Receives all inbound calls from current and potential patients
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, following company protocol, procedures, and provider scheduling templates
- Schedule patient appointments with the proper provider in the appropriate location
- Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette
- Updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior medical practice experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of computer applications. Prior experience with EMR preferred.
- Ability to speak, read and write effectively.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines, in a detail-oriented manner.
