About the Role

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you’ll partner closely with the Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across our full-service restaurant, lounge, and in-room dining. You’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding guest experiences while helping drive operational excellence and team performance.

This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same—perfect for someone who enjoys mentoring others, solving challenges in real time, and making a direct impact on both guests and team members.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and inspire a large team of Ohio State student employees, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment
• Support daily operations across the restaurant, lounge, and in-room dining to ensure seamless service and consistency
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences, handling feedback and concerns with professionalism and care
• Collaborate with culinary leadership to exceed guest expectations and elevate the dining experience
• Drive operational excellence through scheduling, payroll oversight, training, and performance management
• Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, safety, and sustainability
• Contribute to financial success, ensuring operations run efficiently and profitably

Schedule & Flexibility

This role requires flexibility to meet the needs of a 24/7 hospitality operation, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 4 years of relevant experience
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in hospitality or related field
• 6+ years of relevant experience
