About the role

At BlueHalo, we firmly believe that all internships are not created equal. Our Summer Internship Program is meticulously designed to provide students with an immersive and dynamic experience within our industry, offering a taste of what it's like to be part of our professional team. Unlike many other internship programs, we strive to simulate a full-time job, enabling our interns to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology, contribute to meaningful projects, build strong relationships with coworkers, and develop strategic problem-solving skills. Our program is highly selective, hosting only a handful of interns each year, ensuring personalized attention and ample opportunities to work closely with BlueHalo team members. As an Electrical Engineering Intern supporting the RF division, you will gain hands-on experience and assist the team with various aspects of electrical system design, assembly, integration, and testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in electrical system design, including basic assembly, integration, and testing tasks.
  • Support circuit design and simulation under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Help with schematic capture and related documentation.
  • Participate in electrical circuit testing and troubleshooting.
  • Support the design of cables and wiring harnesses.
  • Assist in the creation of test procedures and support documentation.
  • May be asked to assist with occasional travel to support project needs, both locally and within the continental U.S.

You Could Also Have:

  • Basic understanding or coursework in mixed-signal circuit design, including devices like amplifiers, analog-to-digital converters (ADC), digital-to-analog converters (DAC), microprocessors, and power regulators.
  • Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium Designer is a plus).
  • Introductory knowledge of embedded systems architecture and design.
  • Basic understanding of high-speed circuit design and simulation.
  • Familiarity with communication interfaces, including RS232, RS422, SPI, I2C, and Ethernet.
  • Experience with electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and function generators.
  • Exposure to create cable and wiring drawings using Microsoft Visio.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in RF and communications systems.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to real-world engineering projects.
  • Due to the nature of this position, U.S. Citizenship is required
