THE ROLE:
Entegris is currently seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician IV to join our team. This position will be based in our Decatur, TX facility.
This person provides advanced CNC maintenance services to support the production goals of the company. With the need to control machine down time, a Machining Maintenance Technician will be able to handle hands on repair and coordinate with vendors to achieve maximum machine reliability.
HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE MONDAY-FRIDAY DAY SHIFT WITH FLEXIBILITY TO WORK OVERTIME AS NEEDED. MUST PARTICIPATE IN AN ON-CALL SCHEDULE EVERY 8TH WEEK WITH ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Work on equipment installation, relocation, upgrades, and repairs
Service several types and brands of CNC’s including: EDM, Wire saw, laser engraving, robot loaders, machine tools (Mazak, Gardner, GF+, Chevalier, Takamaz)
Self-diagnose highly technical Machine Tool problems and lead repairs to completion.
Run the Renishaw Ball bar to measure axis alignment and precisely calculate the needed mechanical and electrical adjustments to set the machine to within microns.
Program PLC ladder logic and keeper bits to diagnose and repair Fanuc, and Mazatrol machinery.
Establish communication protocols for drip feed programming parameters, and PMC backups
Teach and repair: Yaskawa, Fanuc Robotics, and other automated gantry machine loaders
Troubleshoot, electrical components such as contactors, switches, relays, and controllers
Lead facility capital projects, and comprehensive FMEA’s to help improve the manufacturing process
Must be able to schedule and coordinate with OEM experts to complete PM’s and repairs on time as needed.
Operate Lathe and Mill for custom fabrication. Work with operators to improve day-to-day machine operations and update documents if needed
Order parts and track materials list to complete upcoming projects
Prepare Metrics for maintenance cost and machine downtime.
Be exposed to outdoor working conditions, and dusty or dirty environments, or even clean rooms.
Take part in after-hours “On-Call” responsibilities as part of the maintenance team rotation lasting 7 consecutive days at a time.
WHAT WE SEEK:
4+ Years Machine Tool Maintenance background
Familiarity with rebuilding utilizing Gib and Way Scraping and Turcite installation
Mechanical aptitude, working knowledge of ball screws, worm gears, transmissions, etc.
Electrical aptitude, working knowledge of safety circuits, timers, servo's, HMIs, etc.
Preferred knowledge in (Fadal, Haas, Mitsubishi, Hardinge, Okamoto and Chevalier)
Diverse maintenance background including servicing: blowers, vacuum pumps, augers, gas furnaces, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Retrofit, upgrade, and design hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Astute attention to detail to help drive Safety and Quality.
Able to climb stairs and ladders, and safely lift 50 lbs.
Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) meeting NFPA 70E requirements.
Experienced operator of Engine hoists, Cranes, Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, Articulated Booms, and Front-End loaders.
Utilize personal tools for precision alignments including concentric shafts.
Welding to create new physical structures or modifications for equipment.
Meticulous documentation using Microsoft products to capture and improve SOP’s, inventory management, OEE, machine tool history, expenditures, and MTBF
Some Flexibility in working schedule due to projects, breakdown situations, etc.
